Morton Chosen As RichTech FinalistWritten on April 6, 2011
There’s nothing better for us here at Morton than being recognized by our industry. We consider it a validation of our commitment to building strong professional relationships with our consultants and our clients. This was why it was such an honor to receive our GSA Schedule and to be selected to the Inc 500.
With that in mind, we are particularly excited to announce that Morton Consulting has been selected as a finalist for the Cherry, Bekaert & Holland Emerging Company Award – one of RichTech’s annual Technology Star Awards. The official description of the award reads:
“That local technology company that has demonstrated recent growth in revenues and/or employees – a company whose recognized accomplishments and prospects demonstrates the ability to achieve commercial success.”
Being chosen as a finalist for a RichTech award is a great honor, and means a lot to us for several reasons. First and foremost, this is a Richmond award. RichTech started as the Greater Richmond Technology Council in 1989, and serves to promote Central Virginia’s growing technology community. To be recognized as part of the continued growth and success of that community is itself a great honor.
In much the same way, we’re particularly proud because of how the finalists are chosen. After the initial selection process, members of the Richmond technology community are invited by RichTech to be part of the finalist selection panel. They are held on their honor to confidentiality; so while we may not know who contributed to our selection, knowing that it came from amongst our clients and peers is a point of great pride for us.
In addition to Morton, the finalists for the Emerging Company Award are Fuzzy Logix, Impact Makers, and Vaco Richmond. We wish theses and all of the other award finalists the best of luck and congratulations for being recognized!
The next stage in the process will occur April 13th, with the Meet the Finalists Reception – after which the award winners will be chosen! Thanks so much to RichTech and the entire Richmond technology community – we couldn’t ask for a better group of professionals to work amongst and with.
